EXHIBITION HIRE

Our ground-floor areas are available to hire for gallery exhibitions during school holidays: October half-term, February half-term, Easter Holidays, May/June half-term, Summer Holidays. We charge a weekly price which includes get-in and get-out hire, an open exhibition from 10am-4pm each day. A preview evening can be added at an additional charge. All applications will be assessed; please fill in this application form to apply for an exhibition space. You will get exclusive use of Shell A during your hire, use of our payment system and a basic social media and website promotion package.

EXHIBITION

We have four opportunities for creatives to hire our ground floor studio and foyer to use as a gallery during the year which fall during the holidays. October (one week), February (one week), May/June (one week) and August (two weeks).

• Group Exhibition: £800 per week

• Duo Exhibition: £600 per week

• Solo Exhibition: £400 per week

• Preview Evening (Fridays, 5-8pm): £150

• 5% discount per additional week added (where available).

• Discretionary 12% commission on all artwork sold

• All prices subject to VAT

• Invigilation required by creatives

REHEARSAL & PERFORMANCE HIRE

REHEARSE

Price: £750 + VAT

Hire our upstairs performance and rehearsal studio from 9am-5pm for five days (Mon-Fri). Chairs and tables available and use of our in-house PA system. Additional technical support available for an extra fee on request.

PERFORM

Price: £300 (half day) + VAT + PRS or £550 (full day) + VAT + PRS

Hire our intimate performance studio for your production, gig or concert. The Nutshell team will run a licensed bar and set-up your seating requirements. Additional technical support available for an extra fee on request. All ticket sales (after booking fee and levies) go to you.

Half Day (7hrs): get in from 4pm and get-out by 11pm - perfect if you’re ready to sound check and go.

Full Day (14 hrs): Get in from 9am and get-out by 11pm - perfect if you want to rehearse beforehand.

Please note our performance studio is upstairs with no lift access.

PARTY & WEDDING HIRE

The Nutshell is a living and breathing arts centre tucked away at the bottom of the high-street. Less than 15 minutes walk from Winchester train station, The Nutshell offers a versatile, creative and bespoke space for your special DIY event; a perfect venue to create a unique experience. By hiring our venue, you are directly supporting local artists and arts eduction in Winchester; helping us to maintain and develop a diverse portfolio of workshops and events.

PARTIES

Price: £800 + VAT

Included: 10-hour hire period | licensed bar | city centre venue | use of in-house pa system | 1-hr next day pack-up

WEDDINGS

Price: £2600 + VAT

Included: 2-day hire| licensed bar | city centre venue | use of in-house pa system | 2-hr next day pack-up

Additional Services: lighting packages and welcome drinks.
