A NEW Jazz club for grown-ups and their little ones in partnership with Winchester Jazz Festival.
Charlie Pyne & Luke Pinkstone
Charlie and Luke are both freelance musicians and first met when they were in the same orchestra together in their teens. They are both members of award-winning swing band Down For The Count, and also run a 50-piece community band called Camden Light Orchestra.
Charlie Pyne is a double bass player and vocalist based in North London. Charlie has played low notes for a huge range of events, from original jazz projects (Yazz Ahmed, Zoe Rahman, Filomena Campus and Ilario Ferrari) to private events for the Royal Family at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle!
Luke Pinkstone plays all the different sizes of saxophone as well as flute and clarinet. Luke has gigged with lots of different bands including Hackney Colliery Band, Billy Joel Songbook with Elio Pace, Molotov Jukebox and Tom Grennan. Luke also has an impressive list of venues where he has played, including Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, Buckingham Palace, The Stables at Wavendon, and the Sage Gateshead.
Luke and Charlie have a little boy called Arthur who is 16 months old, they have tried out all their tunes for JazzBops on Arthur first - he is a very discerning audience!
